Regional Meeting – Canterbury/Nelson

February 27, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am NZDT

Canterbury/Nelson Regional Meeting

We are delighted to invite you to our first Regional meeting of 2020 for the Canterbury/Nelson Region to be held on the 27th February 2020 from 9.00am – 11.00am at Clearwater Golf Course 40A Clearwater Ave, Northwood

Everyone who relies on earned income deserves a plan to protect it!

Despite the fact that 1 in 4 people in NZ who earn their income through the work they do will face a period of 6 months or longer disabled at some time during their working life only 13% of New Zealanders have a risk plan in place to protect against the financial loss they would suffer.

No matter the financial service you provide, if you are working with clients who rely on their ability to work to grow wealth, service debt, and maintain their lifestyle you arguably have a duty of care to help them implement a strategy to protect their financial risks.

Our first regional meeting for 2020 is going to be a session focused on the role of Income Protection and ACC in risk management planning and wealth protection. Cecilia Farrow, Business Risk Specialist and Practitioner Director of Risk on the Financial Advice NZ board is our guest speaker.

Cecilia Farrow CLUCM

Cecilia has had 25 years in the Life Risk sector and has specialized in developing advice models for Business Risk for the past 15 years. In 2007 she founded Triplejump and within that company, led the development of a cloud-based advice platform and The Learning Pad – an online education platform. Through her company, Thrive Consulting, Cecilia is providing services to the Financial Services sector in Training and Development with a pre-dominant focus on Business Risk.

In 2018 Cecilia was appointed to the board of Financial Advice New Zealand as the practitioner director for Risk. Cecilia is a past Director of the Institute of Financial Advisers and held the role of Chairperson of the Auckland Branch of the IFA for 5 years.

Our sponsor for the first 2020 meeting is Pathfinder.
Please join us in thanking them for their support. Established in 2009, they now manage 6 Funds. Their research and expertise is focused on investing responsibly and ethically in global markets. They believe that investors should consider the environmental, social and governance (ESG) impact of their investments by avoiding harmful industries such as tobacco, land mines and gambling.
