Building resilience – A Practical approach

Brad Hook from Resilience Institute

This session explores four elements of resilience: bounce, grow, connect and flow. Participants will learn how to identify a downward spiral and to bounce back fast. We’ll then explore the mechanics of staying calm under pressure and the importance of rest and recovery. Finally, we learn how to build stronger connections and to focus on what is important. The goal is to be present, focused and decisive so that we can boldly embrace a changing world.

Bradley Hook is the CEO of the Resilience Institute. He has worked internationally in a range of roles spanning media, technology and human development and his writing has been featured in a range of business and travel magazines, including several cover stories. He is the author of two books: Resilience Mastery and Surfing Life Waves.

Brad is focused on helping individuals and organisations realise their potential through the development of practical, evidence-based resilience skills. When not delivering seminars, or serving global clients, he is based in Mount Maunganui, where he enjoys surfing and working on film projects.
