We are delighted to invite you to out next Regional meeting of 2020 for the Canterbury/Nelson Region to be held on the 27th August 2020 from 9.00am – 11.00am at Clearwater Golf Course 40A Clearwater Ave, Northwood.

Experience from the trenches – providing advice in the post-COVID world

Involving YOU – and your peers, in discussion

It has been a while since we’ve had a local Financial Advice NZ event. We look forward to being up and running again!

Our first post-COVID session is going to provide an opportunity for members to share experiences and perspectives with what we, and our clients, are going through at the moment.

This isn’t going to be a typical “sage on the stage” session. It will be an interactive morning, involving group participation.

We will start with a short introduction, to share news, formalities, and provide an explanation for how the session is going to run.

From there, everyone will be assigned into groups and given 30 minutes to discuss a topic. After each 30 minutes you will be assigned to a new group to discuss a new topic.

Examples of topics/starting points will be:

• Your experience, and the experience of your clients, over the past few months
• What are your major challenges at the moment, and how are you addressing them
• What opportunities do you see for the future, for your business, for our industry, and the world at large?

The aim is to provide a context for candid, collegial conversation. This is an opportunity to learn from peers, and for you to share your own experiences, concerns, and reasons for optimism.

As well as learning something new, this will provide an opportunity to get to know each other a little better.        

Cost:  $15 per person for the venue hire, coffee, tea & muffins / scones.

As this is a discussion-based workshop, we will not be running a Zoom video session. If the meeting goes well and there is demand, we will consider facilitating a session via Zoom.
