Russell Hutchinson, Russell has around 30 years’ experience in financial services, having held general manager and director level positions and has set up online financial services businesses for major international brands, and built bootstrap start-ups in fintech and insurtech.

Since 2000 Russell has run Chatswood Consulting, a successful management consultancy focused on financial services marketing and distribution. He owns the insurance product research company, Quality Product Research Limited, the business that runs Quotemonster and owns half of Advicebridge Limited. He is a regular writer on the life and health insurance sector.

Malcolm Powell, Retired Financial Adviser Malcolm has recently gone through the process of having his business valued. As a financial adviser his core values are to help people plan for crisis, to provide relevant advice that is easily understood and to make a significant difference in the life of others

Specialties: Specialising in personal risk, such as medical insurance, income protection, trauma insurance, total disability, life insurance. Shareholder protection and keyperson insurance a speciality

Kurt Owen, Chartered Accountant, Kurt is an experienced accountant who works alongside various SMEs throughout New Zealand while also leading the team at BASE. Kurt has a broad range of skills, having been involved in extensive tax advisory work (both national and international), insolvency work throughout New Zealand, forecasting for capital raise projects, due diligence assignments, valuations as well as core financial accounting services for SMEs.
Kurt has been involved in valuations of life insurance books and has developed strong industry knowledge working alongside Russell on joint projects.  Kurt owns half of Advicebridge Limited
