Under the microscope: Conduct and Culture – the need to create better outcomes for our clients

New Zealand insurers – “you’ve got a lot of work to do.” This is according to the FMA following their recent review on the Conduct and Culture on New Zealand’s fire and general insurers.

According to the review, “Just 2 insurers out of 42 met the FMA’s expectations in full and just 9 insurers recognised customer vulnerability as a key issue.”

The FMA have also previously focused on product providers across both bank and insurance companies and some concerns have been raised in the market.
