Influential Adviser: Mastering the Art of Communication

Elevate Your Client Relationships and Achieve Lasting Success

Join our exclusive 1-day Masterclass designed for financial advisers who want to sharpen their interpersonal and communication skills. In today’s landscape, successful advisers are those who actively listen, prioritise their clients’ values, and seek to understand their motivations.

Led by Kerry Kirton, a seasoned expert with over 20 years of experience, this workshop will help you cultivate deeper, more trusted relationships with your clients.

Key Outcomes

Connect & Build Trust: Learn techniques to earn client trust quickly through better communication and active listening.

Win the Client’s Mandate: Confidently articulate your value proposition to show how your advice aligns with their unique needs and motivations.

Handle Objections: Develop strategies for addressing client concerns, ensuring they feel confident and informed in their decision-making process.

Provide Clear, Actionable Solutions: Present complex financial solutions in a clear, compelling way that ensures client understanding and commitment.

“The skills of the future in financial advice will be the ability to be more human,” says Dan Egan, Head of Behavioural Finance at Betterment

In a rapidly evolving world where human connection is more valued than ever, financial advisers must go beyond numbers. Advisers will need refined skills in communication, empathy, and coaching to help clients achieve their life goals.

This masterclass workshop will focus on enhancing communication skills to build trust, understand clients’ values, and foster lasting relationships, ensuring clients feel valued and informed.

This bespoke workshop is designed to help financial advisers make the most of client encounters from introductory meetings to securing commitment for advice and recommendations. This workshop is structured into two parts, covered over 1-day.

Part One: Winning the Client’s Mandate

Chemistry: How to establish rapport with diverse client personalities.

Credibility: Understanding what credibility looks like and why credibility is important to winning the client’s trust.

Curiosity: How to engage clients through effective questioning and active listening to uncover their motivations, values, goals and needs.

Articulating Value: How to confidently convey the advice proposition professionally and with a focus on value to the client.

A key outcome is the development of a point of difference in a competitive market through building a trusted relationship.

Part Two: Articulating Advice and Managing Concerns

Clarity: How to simplify complex financial advice solutions to ensure clear understanding of advice and recommendations.

Closure – handling objections: Developing understanding and addressing client hesitations or objections to ensure they make informed decisions and take action.

The emphasis is on how the adviser can express themselves clearly to help clients make informed decisions rather than pushing the client to take a course of action that may not be in their best interests.
