Bring in the Experts: Rising financial capability and improved financial literacy: Key findings from Massey University’s longitudinal research study

August 30, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am NZST

We are excited to welcome Dr Pushpa Wood to present this webinar on the latest findings from Massey University’s NZ Fin-Ed Centre’s longitudinal study. Established in 2012 with the generous support of Westpac NZ, this research has been tracking the financial knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours of young New Zealanders as they transition through new life stages.

The study focuses on a cohort of young New Zealanders aged 18 to 22. Now, ten years on, these participants are aged 28 to 32. Dr Wood will present the third phase of this research, which has returned encouraging results, showcasing a rise in financial capability among this age group.

Dr Wood, an expert in the field of financial education and research, will explore the implications of this change and how it reflects the growing financial independence of young New Zealanders.

Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights into this and discuss the role that financial education and advice can play in shaping a brighter financial future. Register now to secure your spot and be part of the conversation on empowering young New Zealanders on their financial journey.
