The Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs Andrew Bayly has been confirmed as a keynote speaker at Financial Advice NZ’s upcoming Thrive conference in Wellington.

He will be joining other headline speakers such as futurist Michael McQueen, social researcher Mark McCrindle, and Gilbert Enoka, who has helped New Zealand’s top performers achieve excellence across sports and business.

Speaking at the FCS’s Outlook conference last month, Bayly said a reform of the Financial Markets (Conduct of Institutions) Amendment Act 2022, would ensure that good conduct obligations that “..are proportionate and fit-for-purpose”.

Thrive 2024 will be held over two days from Tuesday 5 March, and will include breakfast meetings, masterclasses, and an awards evening.
