As New Zealand moves through the next phase of the economic cycle, advisers are navigating a complex mix of easing monetary conditions, shifting consumer confidence, and uneven signals across housing, credit, and investment markets. In this timely Market Update, Ashley Gardyne, Chief Executive Officer at Fisher Funds, and Nick Goodall, Head of Research at Cotality New Zealand, bring together macro‑economic insight and ground‑level data to help advisers cut through the noise and focus on what matters most for client decision‑making in 2026.

Drawing on the latest Reserve Bank signals, exclusive Cotality analytics, and forward-looking market forecasts, this session provides a clear, evidence-based view of the forces shaping New Zealand’s economy and property market — and how those trends are likely to influence client confidence, behaviour, and opportunities in the year ahead.

This is a practical, data-driven session designed to support advisers in having informed, confident conversations with clients during a period of transition. Our panelists will share their perspectives on:

  • Major global trends impacting on the world economic outlook
  • How these are playing out in New Zealand's economy and the forecast for our key economic indicators
  • The New Zealand property and housing market and predictions
