What is the cost?  This webinar is offered FREE to Financial Advice Members and $50+gst for non-members (non-members please email info@financialadvice.nz).

Speakers

David White, DC Whyte.  David has served in the industry over many years in the UK, Australia, and NZ at senior management and at Board level in a variety of financial services organisations.  He is currently chair of Lifetime Group, Strategi, Trail, Brightsideco Insurance, and IMAK’s Advisory Board, is a Trustee of Foundation North and serves on the Advisory Board of FDRS.  David is a Chartered Member of the NZ Institute of Directors, of Governance NZ, and of Finsia – holds a post-graduate Masters degree in Management from Massey and post-graduate qualification in Corporate Governance from Waikato University.

Heather Roy, Director of Financial Advice NZ. Heather is a professional director and is currently Independent Chair of Utilities Disputes Ltd and Chair of the Electricity Authority Security and Reliability Council. She is a director of Financial Advice New Zealand and the Marlborough Chamber of Commerce. Heather is also the principal and director of Torque Point Limited, a boutique business consultancy specialising in the use of military planning techniques in the corporate environment as well as training and advice on political engagement for businesses. She is often invited to participate in debates as a political commentator on radio and television. In May 2017, Heather was the winner of the Governance New Zealand ‘Women on Board’s’ Inspirational Excellence Award, acknowledging contribution to Governance.  A former Member of Parliament (2002-2011), Heather served as a Minister of the Crown from Nov 2008 until August 2010 – Minister of Consumer Affairs, Associate Minister of Defence and Associate Minister of Education. She brings a thorough understanding of legislation and regulatory issues to the organisations she is part of.
