This webinar is the second series of webinars “Unlocking the New Financial Advice Regime”. This series is designed for financial advisers who provide financial advice to retail clients to ensure they understand their obligations under Section 431M of the FMC Act to comply with the Code of Professional Conduct. If you are a financial adviser you need to understand the new requirements and be able to show you abide by the duties in the legislation.

We will explore the duties and standards which financial advisers need to adhere to ensuring they are complaint with the new legislation.

We are pleased to have Susan Taylor CEO of the Financial Services Complaints Limited discussing specific duties and standards and exploring case studies and the learnings from these case studies to ensure better outcomes can be obtained.

Susan Taylor was appointed as the CEO in October 2010. She is responsible for the scheme and for leading the investigative and recommendation process. She is the decision maker on complaints that require a formal recommendation.  Susan, a lawyer, is the former Deputy Banking Ombudsman and has over 20 years’ experience in financial sector dispute resolution. In 2017 Susan received a Women in Law Corporate Lawyer of the year award from the Lawyer Monthly publication. The award recognises achievement and success amongst women in the legal profession.
