The new financial advice regime has launched – so how are you tracking? The FMA’s John Botica and Derek Grantham provide an overview of key steps for success in your first 90 days as a FAP. This update will allow advisers to get a better understanding of what the regulator is considering and what areas they have concerns about and where to from here.

This session will allow you to ask questions that may be on your mind or to seek further clarification. For all advisers this is a not to be missed session.

Presenters:
John Botica – Director of Market Engagement, FMA. John leads the FMA’s market engagement activities. He is an experienced senior executive, director and consultant in the financial services industry. In previous roles, he was the co-founder of the Assure NZ Group, managing director at Guardian Trust and general manager wealth management at AXA.

Derek Grantham – Principal Consultant of Market Engagement, FMA,. As a Market Engagement specialist, Derek works principally with the financial advice sector.  Derek frequently speaks at industry events to help the financial advice sector understand more about regulation and the expectations of the FMA.  He worked closely with MBIE and various stakeholders during the initial stage of the review of the FA Act.
