Disclosure Requirements with MBIE

We are excited to have both Sharon Corbett and Rose Wang from MBIE join us in a webinar to discuss the new disclosure requirements for financial advisers.

MBIE has announced that 15 March 2021 is the start for the new financial advice regime.  We are pleased to finally have certainty on both the date of commencement of the new regime, and the disclosure requirements of the new regime. We appreciate these disclosure requirements are an important aspect of the new financial regime and how you as financial advisers need to operate.  With just under nine months until the new regime begins, we know there is lots to work through, to understand and to implement.

Sharon Corbett is the Manager of the Financial Markets Policy team at MBIE. She has been leading MBIE’s team working on the new financial advice regime since the review commenced in 2014 while Rose Wang is a Senior Policy Advisor in the Financial Markets Policy team at MBIE. Rose has been involved in the development of the new financial advice legislation since 2016 and is leading the project team responsible for finalising the regulations to support the new regulatory regime.
