Best Practice Spotlight: Implementing a Structured Approach to Discovering Client Values
March 20 @ 2:00 pm NZDT
Implementing a Structured Approach to Discover Client Values
Best Practice Spotlight: This is the second webcast in the series based on the research-data from the international collaboration lead by Capital Preferences of USA
About the webcast
Goals-based planning is great—assuming clients have meaningful, well-defined goals. However, this is often not the case. Join us for an insight-packed conversation with Mark Nagle, Executive Director of Treysta Wealth Management, who has created an excellent process for the otherwise ‘squishy’ area of values discovery that helps clients define goals (and make trade-offs) based on their values.
What will you learn?
In attending this webinar, participants will be able to:
- State the key process steps for creating a values hierarchy for a client
- Ask “peel the onion” questions to uncover tangible connection points between values and potential goals
- Appreciate the sort of soft skills needed to guide clients through the process
- Know when and when not to take a values-led approach (it’s not right for all clients)
- Identify next steps to improve their own client values discovery and goal definition process
Who should attend?
All client-facing financial planners and advisors + leaders of advice/planning firms. The content focuses on providing real examples of best practice, which will help planners and leaders put in place a repeatable, structured approach to understanding the often fuzzy domain of client values.
